5 Tips for Improving Your Life

In this busy world everyone uses convenience as an excuse to do things that make them unhappy. If you are constantly doing things that make you unhappy, your days feel long and unbearable, your head is always pounding with anxiety and stress, and you become the worst version of yourself that has ever existed.

You only have one life, and if it is not going in the direction you want it to, now is the time to make changes. Joyce Meyer, Seize the Day

Now is the time to turn your life into the life you’ve always wanted and here are 5 tips to help you do it.

1. Drink More Water

Your body is composed of 60% water so, imagine the effects of dehydration. As simple as it sounds, drinking water really does make you feel better. You’ll feel naturally energized as it aids in blood circulation, you’ll feel healthier as the water increases absorption of nutrients, and water even helps with weight loss. While water doesn’t have any magical properties that decrease fat, it is an excellent substitute for sugary drinks filled with high calorie counts. Water also clears up acne and treats dry skin, keeping your entire body hydrated and glowing.

2. Dress for Success, Daily

As hard as it is to wake up earlier to shower, do your hair/make-up, and dress nice, it changes your life with each day. We all know the feeling of rolling out of bed, throwing your hair up in a messy bun, and leaving the house in leggings and a t-shirt; With this outfit choice you don’t allow your body to fully wake up. You go through your day feeling tired, achy, and, quite honestly, a little moody. A change of wardrobe makes you look and feel more confident and with this new found confidence you find the power to make yourself smarter and more equipped to tackle anything that comes your way. A change in clothes alone can help you get that job you’ve been wanting, the recognition you’re yearning for, and even the partner you’ve been drooling over. Dressing for success puts you in the right mindset for success, so why dress any other way?

3. Face Your Fears

Fear is the one thing that stops people from doing what they have always wanted to do. Fear holds you back in so many ways. There once was a man who did something that scared him every day and for that, he became a wiser man. If you could do something that scares you every day, you could free yourself of all these weights and overbearing questions of “What-If”. Look your fears in the face and instead of dismissing them, challenge them, set yourself free.

4. Live With Intensity

Your parents always told you to give 100% of yourself in everything you do. If you live your life to the fullest you regret less and you learn more. Sure, everyone makes mistakes, but it’s accepting those mistakes, turning around and learning from them, that is what helps you grow. If you’ve got a big project of work, of course you are going to give all your time and effort into making sure it is the best because your boss and coworkers are expecting that of you, but why don’t you expect it of yourself? Be principled and even in the small things of your life, hold yourself accountable and everything you’ve got, the full 100%, because you only have this one life to live so let’s make it memorable. Be bold and strong.

5. Make Time for Yourself

You know how important your time is and you know how important your body is. It is important to treat it right. Make time to go to the gym and feel physical exertion. Working out induces sweat which clears your pores of toxins, it is also a great stress relief. Set some time aside to take and relax. This includes doing the things that you enjoy or make you feel confident. Going to get your nails done, getting your weekly spray tan, getting a blow out; These are all things that we feel guilty for taking the time to do, but in fact this improves your well-being and sets the rest of your week up for success. You look better when you feel better. Make sure you are taking the time to help yourself before you help others. The only person who can take care of your body is you.

Notice one thing that these 5 tips have in common. They all are about you. Taking the time to make sure you are taken care of is only something that YOU can do. Life is short and why waste it on things you don’t appreciate. If there is something about yourself that you want to change, CHANGE IT. Taking the time to dress yourself for success and preparing for your week by scheduling a spray tan are priorities. You glow better on the inside when you’re glowing on the outside. Always remember to prioritize yourself and you’ll instantly change your life.
