If you are traveling to Corpus Christi and have no clue what to do I have prepared a list of unique things you can do while you are here.
1.) Watergardens
The Corpus Christi Watergardens is a large ring shaped fountain that sends water down a marble stone staircase into a pool below. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking to relax, go on a picnic, take beautiful pictures with a gorgeous background, and sometimes on the weekends there will be live entertainment going on!
2.) Texas State Aquarium
The Texas State Aquarium is where you can take the family to have a wonderful time. It is home to thousands of beautiful animals who are ready to inspire you and your experience in Corpus Christi. During the summer the aquarium offers Sea Camps which is designed to be a hands-on learning program based on STEM, starting from Pre-K all the way up to 12th Grade!
3.) Whataburger Field
Whataburger field is home to the Corpus Christi Hooks a Double-A Texas League owned and operated by the Houston Astros. The Hooks baseball schedule beings in April and ends in September. Whataburger field is a family friendly environment that has a variety of drinks for the adults, and a slip n slide mini water park, trampolines, and basketball courts for the kiddos!
4.) Padre Island National Seashore
There is so much to do at the Padre Island National Sea Shore, not only is there the beach, but you can go camping, fishing, kayaking, you can take a BBQ pit out there and have a few cold ones with some friends and family!
5.) The Art Center
The Art center of Corpus Christi contains a wide variety of art from local and regional artists. It also offers Family Art Time which is a free class open for all ages with all supplies provided, each class you will make a new project! Every Wednesday from 5-8 pm in the Courtyard at the Art Center is the Farmers Market which includes food trucks, local produce, live music perfect for the whole family to enjoy the community atmosphere!
